Priya joined myprosperity six years ago, a few years before the business became part of the HUB24 Group. Starting her career as a software tester, she now leads a team, fostering a growth mindset that creates possibilities for clients and encourages innovation within the team.
Tell me about your role at myprosperity? What do you do?
I started my career at myprosperity in 2018 and have never looked back. I joined as a Software Tester and have further developed my career as a team leader. Primarily, I manage the software releases and lead my team to check the quality of the product while keeping up with the speed of deliveries. My role involves both technical and leadership skills and I work very closely with stakeholders, including the business and developers, to ensure we deliver what we promise. I like to empower my team and ensure they get the best tools to accomplish their work and I also like to create an environment where they can share ideas and raise questions.
What has surprised you the most about the working culture at myprosperity and HUB24 Group?
One of the most pleasant surprises about the working culture at myprosperity and the HUB24 Group is the inclusiveness and supportiveness at all levels. Everyone makes a genuine effort to raise awareness around our policies, accomplishments, and opportunities during our people sessions, while being mindful of our business priorities. As someone with a busy schedule, I hugely appreciate these small but meaningful sessions that foster a sense of belonging and value.
Which one of our Group values resonates with you the most and why?
It is hard to pick one, but the one I experience vividly is ‘create possibilities’. I have seen people working in small and large groups to build things that make everyone’s life easier, including our customers. When a vast group works together, and people help each other, a lot can always happen, and everyone can accomplish their goals both personally and professionally. We try our best to always operate with a growth mindset and this always creates new and innovative ideas.
What is your superpower and how do you use this in everyday life?
I always remind myself that today will be better than yesterday, and I stay persistent to keep moving forward. My belief is my superpower. I am grateful for my wonderful family and my job. I strive to give them the best while making time for my health and well-being.
If there was one piece of career advice you could give someone, what would that be?
Never stop learning and believe in yourself. It’s never too late to reach the finish line.
In your opinion what makes HUB24 group a great place to work?
The people and innovation. Working in a group that resonates with your ideas is important. We should always remember that what is now proven was once only imagined, so innovation is the key.
